Originally from Crane, Missouri - a quaint small town in the heart of the Ozarks - Ashley Cope craved the spotlight at an early age. Coming from a family of entertainers, this came as no surprise. At 5, she began appearing on stage in Branson, Missouri singing solos at her family's theater, the Lowe Sisters Country Music Show. She soon began starring in local and national commercials and modeling for print ads. During high school, she furthered her career by starring in several high school plays and in the USC short play titled Taffy's Taxi.
Cope made her first film on screen performance in the short film directed by Todd Naylor "The Pride of Briarville" (2006), a coming of age love story about a small town boy (Dave Monahan) who is determined to overcome his fears and leave the town that has caused him so much hardship over the years. Cope plays the love interest of of the apprehensive young man and encourages him to confront his aversions.
Cope is currently attending Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri where she is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Spanish. She is pursuing her career in acting and modeling while she completes college. Cope recently signed with Exposure, inc. Model & Talent Agency, located in Kansas City, Kansas. While Ashley keeps a flexible class schedule she starts shooting her upcoming film "Fangs" where she plays the lead role of Becky, a young women preparing to have a get away weekend with her girlfriends at her grandmother's farmhouse when things start to take a turn for the worse. This horror comedy, directed by Gary McClurg, starts shooting in the fall of 2006.
Cope is seeking imaginitive scripts with challenging characters. Her work ethics and professionalism precedes her.
